We weren't even in Van for 24 hours, as we had to come to vic for work. 5 hours traveling back and forth. Oh my! It was a fun night although there was drama. Funniest thing happened when we went to the pool in Cam's building. I wasn't going to go in the water cause I didn't have any shorts, but people kept splashing me with water so I ended up in the hot tub with all my clothes on! Lol! Luckily I had a change of clothes to put on before we made the trip back to Victoria. Fun times!

Went to see Spiderman the next night, but I almost fell asleep cause I was so tired.

Came back to Vic, and then went to Folkfest, which was fun as always. I love Folkfest! I wasn't planning on spending so much money, but I do love the skirt I bought. In the evening, I went to see The Break-Up with a friend. It was pretty good. Better than I expected and also more sad than I expected. I'm glad I had the day off yesterday cause starting today I'm working five days straight! Ugh! Oh well, at least I'll be getting money, money, money.

Speaking of which, I really need to save some money. I'm really looking forward to the possibility of going to Japan in March. I really want to visit other parts of Asia besides India. Perhaps if I am able to find a second job and save money, I could go to other parts of Asia. I'd love to visit the Philippines and Taiwan as well. Especially since I have friends in both of those countries. The possibilities are endless! Gives me something to look forward to, although not being able to go somewhere afar in the near future is a little disheartening.

I am looking forward to a couple days in Vancouver. Why is it that May/June are the worst months for me? I have recently become an adversary of summer. It always awakens my insecurities. It sucks. I dislike it immensely. However, don't get me wrong, I do love the weather of these months, I just don't like the emotions that I feel during the season.

Went to my Optometrist on Friday and she told me my power hasn't gone up! Yeah! I didn't have to get those awful drops in my eyes either. Yeah! I'm going to be getting contacts in a few weeks. Woohoo! Excitement!
Came home and got ready to go to Nanaimo. The bus ride was pleasant as it was a good time to reflect. Had a lovely dinner with my parents and was questioned by my Mom as to why we were going to Vancouver the next day. Hehe.
Saturday we got up bright and early to catch the ferry. The weather was awful, but that didn't bother us as my Mom and I were both excited. Although my Mom wasn't sure what her surprise was. Saw an old friend on the ferry and it was nice catching up. Took the bus downtown and got down by the Art Gallery. My Mom thought we were going to the Art Gallery, but was surprised when I told her to cross the street cause we were going to the Four Seasons Hotel! We walk in and I couldn't keep the surprise from her any longer. There was a big sign saying "Young and the Restless Fans, Go this way!" She was quite excited and pretty happy. We stood in line for almost two hours before they let us in the ballroom where the tea was going to be held. There were about 400 people! Crazy fans! The actors were really nice and my Mom got to ask them a question, which made her day. After the auction, we stood in line to get autographs. That took almost two hours, but it was worth it! We got pictures with all of the actors who were there, and spoke with them for awhile. I will post the pics once I get my USB cord for my camera. A couple of them gave me their email addresses. Hehe. I think my Mom really liked her early Mother Day's Surprise!
Came back to Victoria yesterday and today was my first day of training as a supervisor. It was fun! The next training session is on Wednesday and I'm looking forward to it. It will be nice to see some of my co-workers again.

What a feelin...!
Went out last night after my exam and had fun dancing.

This week has been pretty busy, so it'll be nice to relax for the next few days. I went to Nanaimo on Thursday night, which was really nice. Watched some badminton, which was much more interesting this time. Then on Friday I hung out with Barry and we went out for some Japanese food, which was so good!
I got some fun CD's and a very nice blanket. Thanks!

Came back to Vic on Friday night and was in a much better place, which made it easier to study. I was really debating about going to Nanaimo, but I think it was a good decision.
Just proves how last minute decisions can be good ones!

I still have seven hours til its due, so its all good!
This is the first time in a long time that I'm not that happy having left Nanaimo. Weird eh?

Crazy how attached one gets without even realizing it until its gone or going away. It can make you feel lost, although it can also give you a sense of perspective for your own life. What do you really want out of it? Are there changes you want to make? Its almost like it gives you motivation when those close to you make a big step towards their future and you realize that you could do the same if you wanted to. Even if it is scary at first and you may want other changes to occur along the way.

My weekend started off well though, as I received some good news. I am going to be a supervisor at work!

Went out for lunch with Barry, Cam and Meg which was really nice. Our last time at Earls together. sigh!

Saturday I spent the day with Meg and then went to a bday party in the evening. Lots of karaoke took place, which was awesome!

Sunday was spent finishing my essay and then hanging out with Barry and Meg. We went to Timmy's of course and took lots of pics. Memories!

Now I'm back in Vic, trying to put the final touches on my term paper but I'm having trouble focusing.

What a weird day. I finally finished my take home exam. At 4am this morning the rough draft was complete and later in the morning it was all done! Yes! So I go hand it in and then did some reading for my exam next week. Then I get a phone call from someone I least expected. It was nice though. Crazy how some people disappear from your life and then suddenly reappear. Its kinda nice though.
Tomorrow I have an ortho appointment (joy!) and then a 2.5 hour bus ride to Nanaimo (more joy!). I'm actually kinda looking forward to being in Nanaimo for a couple days. I haven't done proper grocery shopping in awhile and it'll be nice to have some decent home cooked meals. Coming back to Vic on Friday and the next day my cousin will be getting married. I have to be the MC (ahh!). I don't really want to do this but I think it'll be okay. I guess it was one of those days for self-reflection. Its all good though.

In other news: I had my second skateboarding lesson and amazingly I have not wiped out yet! Crazy! Going to Edmonton with Meg to see Sharon would be fun and then possibly going to Winnipeg to visit Peter from there would be cool. Otherwise, I would like to go to Montreal or something.
iii) I need to get my N. (I know, shame, shame.) It'll just make things easier.
iv) I am going to several weddings, which will be awesome!
v) I will be getting braces, so I hope I can get contacts.
